Gift Advice

Hello my Girlfriend and I are celebrating our one year anniversary on Wednesday the 1’st of October and I want to get her something special. All I have right now is two $25 Gift Cards to K-Mart. What can I get that will be special and not be over my limit. And it can be over just a little if you calculate tax. Thanks for all your suggestions and for your ideas

In the future, I am planning to be involved with the People to People Student Ambassador program, which is a national program, that was founded by President Eisenhower in 1956.

This is a very good programs for grade school kids, you travel around the world for several days, but its very expensive. This program is truly life changing in every student that goes as a student ambassador. The process to be chosen as a student ambassador is very narrowing, they search your background, you’re interviewed, and you have to be recommended by the people around you, and more. Only 40 students out of my area will be chosen to go in June 09 to Australia.

I need help with fund raising my tuition to go. I need to earn about $3250 (Full trip is $7000, parents are meeting me about half way) I have several ideas to help sell things, and asking relatives. I need to know if anyone knows any national sponsors that will sponsor me for this cause, or if they have gift programs. I know several of you have been sponsored and if I can hear some of your ideas, tips, anything, it would be great!

So I dated my ex for 10 months until June. When she broke up with me because we were both headed to college. I was leaving the state and she is in state. She said, we needed time to meet new people and I understood.

I got to college and other bad stuff happened to me this summer. My grandpa died and he was a big part of my life and this made me feel worse. I am in college now feel pretty bad about both things and cant stop thinking about them.

I go to parties and I am meeting other girls I can tell they like me and I think they are attractive too. But, nothing like my ex I have dated other girls before. But, she is the only one I hooked up with and I still think about her even when I am having fun with other girls.

Normally I have fun come back to my dorm drunk and confused still thinking about her. I have never felt this way and wish it would stop thats why I have not talked to her since our break up. But, all of a sudden 4 days ago I asked a question regarding this and got the advice I had to talk to her.

I texted her and she seemed happy to hear from me she told me how much she misses me and wants to see me when I get back and school isnt the same without me. But, I also know how college is and I do not want to look like a fool if she doesnt want me back, so I do not know. Anyways, she said she was dying to see me, but I do not know what is a good present I can buy that shows her I think about her, but not something that shows that I am getting way over my head thinking we can get back together?

Christmas is coming and I want to get my husband a really cool gift. He is 27 has a bar a pool table and likes tattoos. Last year I got him a share of stock for playboy. I am kinda at a loss. My budget is $100. I want it to be something that not everyone has and that is a conversation starter, if that makes any sense. We have a rather large finished basement so I am thinking something for his “play room”. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My church has a program where you can “adopt” a family for Christmas. Basically, it means you buy some gifts for a family that as a money problem. Every year, I like to do a family or two. This year, the family is a single mom with 3 girls age 4, 8, and 12.

I want to fill each of them a stocking. Then get each child 4 fun things, 1-2 winter outfits, a pair of PJ’s, and a sweatshirt. Would that be good? Anyone have ideas for stocking stuffers, gifts, or things for the mom that would be great!

T- I agree with you 100%! You see so many people who give second-hand when they buy their own children the best of the best. In my oppinion, if you can only donate used clothes go for it and donate what you can! But if you can donate nice, new things, then do so!

This coming Saturday will be my fiance and my anniversary! I am so excited, but we have no ideas of what to do! We usually always go out to eat, exchange gifts, etc… I want to do something fun and romantic, but we are also short on cash, so spending a lot is out of the question. Does anyone have any ideas!!!???
