Gift Advice

I liked this girl she is 16 and I am 18. I asked her for her no. and we texted and got along well (and at work). We set a date to go see a film - she later cancelled. And after that she wouldn’t agree to go out with me again. I thought she liked me, but now it seems she didn’t. We still talk at work, but I feel kinda hurt that she doesn’t like me as I like her and more than that she didn’t tell me, she didn’t talk to me about it. Even after I gave her a valentines gift bag and told her I had feelings for her - she doesn’t even act as if anything happened. Is she just not ready for a relationship? Did I come on too strong? Or does she simply not really care? I’ve stopped texting her and now just talk to her at work - just too try and let things calm down.

Any ideas what is in her head?

OCCASION: Her birthday.
LOCATION: Disney world with her and her parents.
SETTING: Rented condo.
ATTIRE: Pajamas.
TIMING: After a long day of magical Disney fun.

THE PLAN: I wrote a Dr. Seuss’esque story about the history of “us” using cute balloon cartoon characters (it’s an inside thing). It traces everything up to the moment that I wrote the book, gave her the book, and then … proposed. When she gets to the proposal part of the story, that’s when I pop the question. I had a professional artist illustrate the book and a very good printer printed it.

IMPORTANT DETAIL: She will receive the book as a birthday gift so it won’t seem weird that I would give her a random gift. This keeps suspicions down.

MY PROBLEM: Most people think it’s a great idea. However, I’m concerned that executing this great idea in a rented condo and in our pj’s is kind of lame. Then again, I don’t want it to look suspicious if I insist that we find a really nice place to open her gift at.

Ok so maybe you’re wondering why this is in the polls and survey section? Well, you could say that I’m taking a survey! I need birthday gift ideas. For the women, I want to know what kinds of gifts you give your man. And for the men, I want to know what kind of birtday gifts you like. Please help me out here people, I’m so bad at shopping for guys.

My girlfriend is in New York for the 4th week in a row and asked me what I’d like from there as a little gift? I don’t really need any souvenirs - any ideas on something neat from there?

My fiancé and I are planning a destination wedding in Las Vegas. We want to provide our guests with welcome bags, any suggestions on some items we can include.

well my boyfriend is the type of guy that does not like presents! Before me and him start to go out he told me he does not like when they make him a party and doesnt like gifts!
Another small detail… Me and him are complete oppisites. Im the small preppy, social happy person, and he is the rocker rebel heavy metal person, not that social.
I want to get him somethng really special but i have no clue? Any ideas??? March 23 is the day!

My son is graduating this May. He has been accepted into college already and is going to be studying psychology-therefore we wish to throw him a psychology themed party. However, we are STUCK for ideas! What favors, decorations, food, gifts, activities, etc. would you suggest for a psychology party?
